- Browns’ Spencer Fano Issues a Critical Take After Deshaun Watson’s 8-Sack Game Against The Steelers
The Cleveland Browns have issues to fix after losing badly to their AFC North Division rivals Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.
Cleveland had an awful outing versus the Steelers, and that can be said in particular about the team's offensive line, which didn't do a great job at protecting quarterback Deshaun Watson. The Steelers sacked the former Clemson Tigers star signal-caller eight times for a loss of 41 yards for the Browns. Cleveland ended that game absorbing a 27-6 loss, as the Steelers successfully returned the favor weeks after their loss in Cleveland.

Following the game, Cleveland offensive tackle Spencer Fano admitted that he had a subpar performance in Week 8.
"I need to play a whole lot better than what I put out on that field," the rookie said, via Camryn Justice of News 5 Cleveland .
"I feel like I've been taking steps all season, and feel like I took a little step back today and just need to get better."

The 21-year-old Fano was selected in the first round (ninth overall) by Cleveland in the 2026 NFL Draft, so there is surely a lot for him to learn in the pros. But the lack of experience at this level of football can't also be a total excuse for bad play.

Fano received great reviews for his Week 7 play against the Tennessee Titans , and he'll look to return to that form when Cleveland visits the New Orleans Saints for a Week 9 matchup this coming Sunday at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
