On Thursday, the team announced that forward Lukas Reichel has signed a one-year contract extension with an average annual value of $950,000 . The deal will carry through the 2026-27 regular season, and he will be eligible for arbitration next summer.
Reichel, 23, was acquired by the Bruins on March 6 for the small cost of a 2026 sixth-round pick. It was the second trade involving him in the 2025-26 regular season, the first sending him from Chicago to Vancouver .

Now that he is under contract for another year, the Bruins will have a longer look at Reichel, including a full training camp and preseason.
In total, he played in 29 NHL regular-season games this season. He has 198 career NHL games under his belt, with 62 points (23-39–62) over five seasons.
