Bruno Fernandes has been Manchester United 's most important player since arriving six years ago, and his impact shows no signs of slowing down.
Coming off his fourth Player of the Year award, the Portuguese international remains central to United's plans, even with Michael Carrick now in charge as interim head coach.

The midfielder has played a part in extending United's unbeaten streak in the Premier League, with four wins from five matches under Carrick so far.
The 31-year-old is tied to United until June 2027, with an option for another year beyond that.
Fernandes' performances often spark debate about how the club would fare without him driving their midfield.
When it comes to consistent high-level play, few can match what Fernandes brings, even if he doesn't always see it that way himself.

United fans have plenty of respect for Fernandes, and it's easy to see why. The Portugal international has been a consistent figure in the squad, stepping up during some challenging periods and playing a key role in getting the team back on track.

He recently reached over 200 goal contributions for United, but his main focus now is helping the club finish the season strong and secure a spot in next year's Champions League.
Fernandes spoke to Sky Sports about fans' comments suggesting he's carrying United, saying he doesn't quite see it that way.
"I don't want to hype myself up, but I think that's me," he told them. "The problem is people always say where would the team be without me. It's not something I agree with, but I think it's me."
Ineos will need to weigh their options this summer, especially with ongoing links between Fernandes and clubs in Saudi Arabia .

If the captain were to leave, replacing his presence would be an enormous task for whoever took on the role next season.
