- Buccaneers Bring Back Feeney for OL Depth
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are keeping one of their offensive line depth pieces around for the 2026 season, as the team announced that it had re-signed interior offensive lineman Dan Feeney .
Feeney went from getting cut by the Buffalo Bills at the end of training camp last season to becoming one of the most important members of the Tampa Bay offensive line.

The Bucs signed Feeney in September, and he ended up starting 10 of his 12 regular-season games at left guard.
If the Bucs have a healthy offensive line this season, Cody Mauch and Ben Bredeson , who both missed time in 2025 due to knee injuries, would compete with Feeney for the starting role.
Feeney ended 2025 with a 54.2 overall grade, which was 62nd out of 81 guards.
However, the Bucs brass liked Feeney well enough to bring him back. For one, he's been around the block, with 2026 being his 10th NFL season.
A multi-time All-American at Indiana before Curt Cignetti turned the Hoosiers from a joke to a juggernaut, Feeney went to the Los Angeles Chargers in the third round of the 2017 draft.

Feeney had a promising rookie season, with the PFWA naming him to its All-Rookie squad. He started every regular-season game at left guard the next season, and then logged more than 1,000 snaps in each of the next two campaigns.
After his rookie contract expired, Feeney signed a one-year deal with the New York Jets.
Feeney played in every regular season game for the Jets in 2021 but only started five, logging 185 snaps. The Jets brought Feeney back for the 2022 season, but he played even fewer snaps (109).
He then signed with the Miami Dolphins for the 2023 season, but Miami traded him before the end of training camp to the Chicago Bears for a 6th-round 2024 pick.

Feeney logged 90 snaps for the Bears in 2023, then signed a one-year deal with the Minnesota Vikings in March 2024.
The terms of Feeney's contract haven't been announced, but considering his market value was listed at one year and just over $1 million on Spotrac.com, the Bucs probably didn't have to spend too much to keep him around.
