Things are crowded in Tampa Bay , but the Buccaneers don't want to let Sean Tucker go without a fight.

Tucker entered this offseason as a restricted free agent. That means that if the Bucs tendered him a contract, they'd have the right of first refusal if he gets any offers from other teams in free agency -- essentially, they can match an offer Tucker gets and keep him at that matching price.

On Wednesday, the Bucs did indeed tender Tucker his $3.52 million contract, according to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times:

Tucker is a talented running back, and he showed that when he got chances in 2025.

That includes a monster three-TD day against the Buffalo Bills that was the crowning moment of the NFL career so far for the former Syracuse superstar.

Tucker may want to explore the open market, because the Bucs don't have a lot of opportunity for him. They still have Bucky Irving leading the backfield, and they have signed Kenneth Gainwell to be the RB2.

Tucker also can be a good kick returner, but it would make sense for there to be a team out there that thinks he can do more.

It'd likely take a pretty sizable offer for the Buccaneers not to match, but maybe Tucker can find one out there.

If not, the Bucs will have one of the deepest RB rooms in the league.
