Who is the Bucs most 'underpaid' player on the roster in 2026?

The NFL is full of players on rosters that could be seen as undervalued or, straight up, underpaid. It is always a unique situation for players as they await an extension or to hit the open market, but that doesn't mean they are ignored for what they deserve.

In the case of Bleacher Reports, Brad Gagnon went through the trouble to name every team's most underpaid player on the roster. For the Bucs, he could have made several choices, but ultimately, he decided to go with linebacker and edge rusher Yaya Diaby .

Gagnon writes, " The 2023 third-round pick has generally remained under the national radar while compiling 19 sacks and 47 quarterback hits in three pro seasons. He'll still count just $3.9 million against the Bucs' cap in a walk year this fall."

Diaby could be in line for a decent extension before the season if the track record of Jason Licht stays on point. He likes to get extensions done before the season kicks off, as he showed in 2025 with Luke Goedeke and Zyon McCollum . It would make sense that Diaby is considered to ne next on deck.
