- Burnley In Talks Over Late Deal For Man Utd Star After Michael Carrick Admission
How much money could Man Utd make this summer?
The summer transfer window deadline is rapidly approaching, and Premier League clubs must complete all their business by 11PM on Tuesday night.
Manchester United have been active in the window, with most of their business focused on adding depth to a position that has needed reinforcement for a couple of seasons.

United have spent £155 million to bring in Andrey Santos , Youri Tielemans and Carlos Baleba to strengthen the midfield for the 2026/27 campaign. After letting two of United's goalkeepers leave, Karl Darlow was brought in from Leeds to come in as backup for Senne Lammens .
Meanwhile, Tottenham youngster Tynan Thompson was signed for a £4 million fee, with a further £4 million in add-ons.
In terms of departures, as well as letting two goalkeepers leave, INEOS have also sanctioned the departure of Radek Vitek to Middlesbrough for an initial £7 million fee, while also letting youngsters Toby Collyer and Tyler Fredricson leave permanently.
Rasmus Højlund's loan move to Napoli was made permanent, with his £5 million loan deal including a £38 million buy clause if the side qualified for Champions League football.

Burnley pushing for Harry Amass move
Harry Amass enjoyed a fruitful loan spell at Sheffield Wednesday in the first half of last season, but an unfortunate injury after completing a second loan spell to Norwich completely derailed a promising campaign for the youngster.
Now back at Manchester United , it remains unclear as to whether Amass is deemed ready to be playing regular first-team football, with Michael Carrick stating that "there is always different scenarios" when the transfer deadline approaches.
As reported by Football Insider , Burnley are in talks over a late move to sign the 19-year-old, with the two clubs in ongoing contact over a deal for the left-back.

Manchester United are set to decide whether to sanction a permanent exit or send Amass out on loan again, while Burnley are pushing for a permanent deal, promising regular first-team football.

Does Amass' exit open the door for a new left-back?
Amass has been regarded as one of the most exciting United prospects in recent seasons, but has been unlucky not to break into the first team yet, despite making his debut in the 2024/25 season.

While he impressed in pre-season, Amass has been relegated to U-21 action in Premier League 2 as the season has got underway, leaving only Luke Shaw as the first-team senior left-back.
After completing their midfield rebuild, attention has rightfully shifted to left-back, with a Luke Shaw replacement made even more necessary after the 31-year-old's disappointing performances against Hull and Ipswich so far this season.
If United were to sanction a move for Amass, it would suggest they are confident they can secure a new left-back before the end of the transfer window, with rumours linking Alejandro Balde to the club persisting.
