Caitlin Clark vs. Angel Reese: 12 Spots Separate Fever, Dream Stars on Top 50 List

Caitlin Clark played just 13 games for the Indiana Fever last season, averaging 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 8.8 assists and 1.6 steals. In comparison, Angel Reese appeared in 30 games for the Chicago Sky and averaged 14.7 points, 12.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.5 steals.

While some would say that Reese had the better season than Clark, especially since she played more games, led the league in rebounding and improved offensively, the third-year forward still isn't viewed as a top 10 player in the league unlike Clark.

In fact, on ESPN's top 50 WNBA players list , Clark and Reese have a wide gap in their rankings: 12 spots to be exact.

Clark was ranked 10th on the ESPN list , a position that still sparked plenty of backlash since many consider the Fever star to be at least a top-five player in the WNBA . Meanwhile, Reese was ranked 22nd.

"Clark received the fourth-most MVP votes as a rookie while setting a single-season league record for assists and posting the second-most 3-point field goals in a season," ESPN reporter Kareem Copeland said of Clark after she was ranked in the top 10.

"She became one of the league's best passers and long-range shooters the moment she stepped onto a WNBA court, and was just getting started when she was named Rookie of the Year and first-team All-WNBA in 2024. Injuries limited her to only 13 games in 2025, but she was still named an All-Star."

Heading into the 2026 season, Clark is now fully healthy. However, it remains to be seen whether she can replicate the success she had in her rookie year, when she led the league in assists and established herself as an MVP candidate.

Meanwhile, Reese is set to start anew after being traded to the Atlanta Dream this offseason. Whether she will remain a double-double machine on a loaded Atlanta roster is certainly a storyline to watch.
