Caleb Wilson gets star comparisons for NBA career

With the 2026 NBA Draft Lottery officially in the books, the order for most of the first round is set. For North Carolina star Caleb Wilson , he has a better understanding of where he could land come June's draft.

The consensus on Wilson is that he's a top-four player in this draft. Most have him at fourth behind A.J. Dybantsa, Darryn Peterson , and Cameron Boozer . There's a handful who have him third. While Wilson missed time at the end of the season, he was able to showcase his ability a lot for the Tar Heels this past season.

You can certainly see the talent that made him a five-star recruit. Now, with the talk surrounding where Wilson will go, one former Duke player had a very interesting comp for him in terms of talent.

While on ESPN's "Get Up" on Monday morning, former Blue Devils' star Jay Williams was asked who he thinks in the long run has the potential to be the best. His answer? Wilson.

"Caleb Wilson, while watching him work out, has shown the ability to put the ball on the ground," Williams said . "By the way, when I first saw him this year, I was like 'Okay, the bar is Jermaine O'Neal, the ceiling is Kevin Garnett .' Now when I watch [Caleb Wilson] play, ... the bar seems like Kevin Garnett, the ceiling seems more like Giannis ."

Wow, that's some high praise.

We don't know what Wilson will be and there are some concerns about his measurements from Monday's weigh-ins at the NBA Scouting Combine. However, he does feel like he has the highest ceiling in this draft, and a team is going to be very lucky to get him.
