Wide receiver Calvin Austin III has one last message for Pittsburgh Steelers fans.
The Pittsburgh Steelers lost one of their fan favorites in wide receiver Calvin Austin III , who joined the New York Giants in free agency, and he had a message to the fans who have supported him for the past four years.
"I'm not gonna lie, being in Pittsburgh, I definitely knew and felt the love from the people in the city, whether that was just being in the city, training camp, whatever. People know Pittsburgh fans are passionate," Austin said in a TikTok video . "Thank you. From me to y'all, I love you guys. That truly meant a lot to me."
Austin, a fourth-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, played in 48 games for the Steelers over four seasons. He caught 84 total passes for 1,100 yards and eight touchdowns.
He missed his entire rookie season with an injury, then grew into a role as a secondary target for the handful of quarterbacks the Steelers have fielded in the past few seasons.
Last season, Austin had 31 grabs for 372 yards and three touchdowns. He hauled in the game-winning 26-yard touchdown pass that vaulted the Steelers into the playoffs over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 18. He also had go-ahead/game-winning scores against the New York Jets and New England Patriots .

Austin also returned punts for Pittsburgh, bringing one back for a touchdown during the 2024 season.
Earlier this month, Austin switched agents, which was a telltale sign that he wouldn't be back in Pittsburgh next season. He spoke about the possibility of leaving Pittsburgh earlier this offseason.
"Pittsburgh, just being real, they might not want me, or they have a different vision. And that's why I say at the end of the day. It's just straight business decision," Austin said on a radio appearance.
