Tuesday's Vancouver Canucks rundown will get you set for tonight's action against the Anaheim Ducks, along with providing an injury timeline for Filip Chytil and showcasing a pair of overtime winners from the top Canucks Prospects.
Lineup Notes: Lankinen Starts, Mancini Draws In
Kevin Lankinen will make his first start since October 22 against the Detroit Red Wings. He has the worst advanced stats in the NHL, with a -12.1 goals-saved-above-expected stat, according to MoneyPuck . He is in dire need of a bounce-back game.
Victor Mancini will draw back in tonight in place of Luke Schenn. Arshdeep Bains, Guillaume Brisebois, and Luke Schenn are projected to be the scratches tonight.
This is also the first game where the new time zone changes in British Columbia have taken effect. A reminder that the game tonight will be at 7:00 p.m. Pacific Time (PCT) in Vancouver. Elsewhere, in Anaheim, puck drop will be at 6:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST).

Filip Chytil Out for Upcoming Road Trip
Head Coach Manny Malhotra, in his practice media availability on Tuesday, said that Filip Chytil will not be expected to travel on the upcoming two-game road trip. He will continue to rehab his shoulder injury, which he re-aggravated in last Thursday's game against the San Jose Sharks. Therefore, he will be out until at least next week, at the earliest, when the Canucks face the Philadelphia Flyers on Monday.
That means that Jacob Quillan will get an extended look in the Vancouver lineup. He slotted in at the third-line center position last game, alongside Liam Öhgren and Linus Karlsson . "He did a good job with the minutes given," said Malhotra following the game Saturday. "Made some poised plays on breakouts and had few good forechecks where he got in on people to apply pressure."
Canucks Prospects Score a Pair of Overtime Winners
Two players Canucks fans have their eye on are Caleb Malhotra and Adam Novotny, both of whom were first-round picks in the latest NHL Draft.
Malhotra scored a beautiful overtime winner against the Maine Black Bears on Saturday, side-stepping a defender and cutting through the slot and picking a corner from the left faceoff circle. The third-overall pick in 2026 is now at five points in eight games with Boston University.

Novotny followed Malhotra's performance up with an overtime game-winner of his own the day after. The Peterborough Petes defeated the Niagara IceDogs 4-3 on Sunday as Novotny sniped one home on the power play. That brings Novotny's points total on the season to 21, with nine goals and 12 assists in 15 games, leading the Petes.
