The Manhattan Beach (CA) native previously played at Michigan for three seasons, joining the team as a walk-on, before he transferred to Stanford. His best season with the Wolverines was in 2022, when he completed 64.1% of his passes for 1,199 yards, seven TDs and nine interceptions on a 114.7 QB rating.

For his career, Warren has 2,495 passing yards, 12 TDs, 11 interceptions and is 60.9% on completions with a 118.2 QB rating.

According to Irish Sports Daily , coach Marcus Freeman said at Monday's press conference that Warren does a "good job throwing the football in the middle of the field."

"If you give Davis Warren time, he will find ways to move the ball," Freeman added.

Warren will go up against an Irish defense that is one of the best in the nation. Notre Dame are both 9th in opponent points (17.6) and opponent yards per game (4.4 yards), 11th in takeaways (1.9), 16th in opposing total yards (312.3) and 50th in opposing passing yards per game (213.4).
