A former running back of the Pittsburgh Steelers has quickly found a new home.
The Arizona Cardinals have claimed former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Evan Hull just one day after he was waived by the Houston Texans , according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport .
Hull, 25, signed with the Steelers on Jan. 14 last year, and he spent the entire offseason, training camp and preseason with the team.
However, he greatly disappointed in the three preseasons games, rushing for just 33 yards on 11 carries and catching two passes for eight yards, while mostly working on the third team. Hull was then released on Aug. 22.

Hull later landed on the New Orleans Saints practice squad and was even signed to the active roster on Nov. 25. But his underwhelming play continued as he rushed for just 48 yards on 19 carries in six games. He was waived on April 27.
Hull began his professional career as a fifth-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts . Unfortunately, he suffered a torn meniscus and MCL during his first career rush attempt, ending his 2023 season.
In his final season at Northwestern in 2022, Hull led all FBS running backs with 54 receptions and was second amongst all Big Ten receivers with 483 yards after the catch. He finished the season with 913 rushing yards and a career-best 546 receiving yards.
Hull was also only the 16th player since 2000 to average over 75 rushing yards and 45 receiving yards a game over an entire season, most recently done by Travis Etienne and Saquon Barkley .
