The Arizona Cardinals lost Paris Johnson Jr. for the season after he sustained a torn left biceps in the 36-24 Week 4 loss to the New York Giants. With the club needing help at left tackle, the franchise managed to steal a former first-round pick away from the Buffalo Bills to potentially help fill the void.
Reports indicate that the Cardinals are signing Jedrick Wills from the Bills' practice squad, according to Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. Wills may get another chance to prove himself in the NFL on a team in desperate need of help on the offensive line.
"The Cardinals are signing OT Jedrick Wills off the Bills' practice squad, sources tell me and [Ian Rapoport]," Garafolo said on X. "The 10th overall pick in 2020 heads to Arizona after the team lost LT Paris Johnson Jr. for the season. [Sal Capaccio of WGR550] reported Wills was signing elsewhere. AZ it is."

Wills was a first-round pick by the Cleveland Browns in the 2020 NFL Draft. Through five seasons with the club, he started in 57 of 58 games. However, after his fifth-year option was up, the organization opted not to re-sign him to the team. The 27-year-old has not appeared in an NFL game since the 2024-25 campaign.
The Cardinals are likely to start Josh Fryar at left tackle moving forward. There is no guarantee Wills sees any action this year, but he at least can serve as an emergency option for the offense.
After losing three straight games, Arizona will have a chance to get back in the win column in Week 5. The Cardinals are scheduled to take on the Detroit Lions on Sunday, October 11.
