Cardinals vs Cowboys Preview for NFL Week 8
Arizona Cardinals Preview: The Return of Jeremiyah Love
I am officially out on backing this Cardinals team to do anything well.
The Cardinals have hit a wall offensively and simply aren't a potent unit right now. They are running out of bodies due to injuries along the offensive line and in the defensive backfield.
It is going to be incredibly difficult for them to get consistent stops in this game unless they can scheme up the perfect blitz packages like we saw from Tampa Bay recently.
With that said, the Cowboys haven't exactly proven they can stop anybody either, meaning Arizona should still be able to find the end zone and contribute to this total. Rookie running back Jeremiyah Love is also expected to make his return in this game.
Dallas Cowboys Preview: Fade the Defense
I know a sharp group bet the over, and I completely support it because this Cowboys defense simply has not improved.
The Cowboys had their moments in the second half against the Eagles last week, but you have to contextualize that: they were facing Tanner McKee and an Eagles offense that didn't have key skill players like DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks.
In Dallas' Week 6 matchup against Green Bay, the Packers just played ball control and milked the clock. If Green Bay hadn't dropped a perfect bomb in the basket early in the game, the Cowboys' defensive numbers would look even worse.
I don't think Cowboys defense has improved much at all, and I fully expect them to give up points to Arizona in this spot.
Cardinals vs Cowboys Picks, Betting Analysis
I'm not fully convinced the Cowboys can cover a large spread with their current defensive form, but I definitely see this turning into a high-scoring game.
We have two flawed defenses, and while the Cardinals offense is struggling, they will face little resistance from a Dallas unit that has consistently underperformed against competent game plans.
Pick: Over 54.5 (-110)
