After nine competitive matches in charge, Martínez has recorded seven victories, one draw and just one defeat, with his team now firmly back in contention near the top of the Bundesliga.
An Impressive Response To Early Setback
Martínez's tenure began with a disappointing defeat against newly promoted Elversberg, raising immediate questions about Die Werkself's ability to compete following a summer of significant changes.
However, the Spaniard has responded emphatically.
His side has steadily improved in both confidence and attacking efficiency, recording important victories over RB Leipzig , Mainz and Freiburg in the Bundesliga.

Schick And Maza Flourish Under Martínez
One of the most encouraging developments has been the form of Patrik Schick.

The Czech striker has scored in each of Leverkusen's first six Bundesliga matches this season, setting a new club record with his winning goal against Freiburg.
Ibrahim Maza has also emerged as an increasingly influential figure in the team's attacking play.
The 20-year-old scored the equaliser against Freiburg before setting up Schick's winner, underlining his growing importance in Martínez's system.
Die Werkself's attacking depth has been another positive, with Malik Tillman finding the net in Europe and Moussa Diaby making an impact following his return to the club.
However, defensive consistency remains an area for improvement, particularly after conceding three goals against Mainz.

Leverkusen Building Momentum At The Right Time
The victory over Freiburg carried particular significance.
Julian Schuster's side arrived at the BayArena unbeaten and sitting top of the Bundesliga, making the encounter an important early test of Leverkusen's credentials.
Martínez's team responded by coming from behind to secure all three points, demonstrating the resilience that has become increasingly evident during their recent performances.
Leverkusen now have 13 points from six Bundesliga matches, placing them fourth and level with Freiburg.
With another Europa League fixture against OFI Crete approaching, Martínez will be hoping his players can maintain their impressive form despite a demanding schedule.
