The Boston Celtics extended their winning streak to five games Sunday with a 108-97 victory over the Orlando Magic, but the final score does not tell the entire story.
Boston led by as many as 15 points before Orlando rallied to tie the game during the second half. Jayson Tatum eventually finished with 32 points, while Paul George added 17.
But two of the game's most important defensive moments came from Neemias Queta.
The Celtics center recorded two crucial blocks during the final two minutes, helping Boston protect its lead and secure another victory.
Queta Delivered When Orlando Threatened
The Magic refused to disappear despite struggling during stretches of the game. Orlando used a strong third-quarter response to erase Boston's advantage, creating a competitive fourth quarter. Anthony Black and Tristan da Silva each scored 23 points, while Franz Wagner contributed 14 points and 12 assists.
The Celtics eventually regained control, but Orlando continued threatening to close the gap. Queta's late defensive plays helped prevent the Magic from converting important scoring opportunities. George followed with a 3-pointer with 1:32 remaining that extended Boston's advantage to 11 points.
The sequence demonstrated how defensive execution can become just as valuable as offensive production during the final minutes.
Boston Has More Than One Way To Win
The Celtics did not produce their most efficient shooting performance. They finished at 44% from the field and struggled from beyond the arc. But Boston continued moving the basketball and creating opportunities for multiple players.
The Celtics recorded 29 assists, extending their streak of games with at least 25 assists to six. That ball movement has become an important part of their early-season identity.
Boston can win when its outside shooting is effective, but Sunday demonstrated that the team can also rely on defense, free throws and interior contributions. Queta's presence was particularly valuable during the closing stretch.

A Bigger Test Comes Quickly
The Celtics improved to 5-1 and will face the Houston Rockets on Monday. That quick turnaround makes the contributions of Boston's supporting players especially important.
Tatum remains the team's primary offensive option, and George has provided additional versatility. But the Celtics will need dependable performances from players such as Queta throughout the season.
Sunday's win demonstrated that a player does not need to lead the team in scoring to become one of its most important contributors.
Queta's two late blocks were a perfect example.
