The Kansas City Chiefs have lost their spot at the top of the AFC West following their loss at the weekend against the Denver Broncos.
It was a tightly contested game at Mile High and a game that was won by fine margins. The Chiefs gave up over 100 yards in penalties, and the false start called on right tackle Jaylon Moore proved extremely costly as it wiped out a touchdown.
"You can't tell me you call that on a game-winning TD. Oh wait, yeah I can cause it's us. That was the weakest call I have ever seen; you can't tell me otherwise," said Patrick Mahomes' wife Brittany on Instagram after the game.
The call from the officials has certainly caused some controversy in the world of the NFL and Chad Johnson has taken the opportunity to share his thoughts on it following the outburst from Mahomes' wife online.

The Chiefs thought they had won it as Mahomes connected with Rashee Rice for what would have been the game-winning touchdown. However, the penalty on the right tackle saw the points wiped off the board with just seconds remaining.
"I saw the replay; he flinched. That's a false start. Now, listen, as a referee, you can what you can do in that situation is you don't want the game to end like that," Johnson said on Nightcap.
"You don't have to call it because it was a minor flinch, but he did flinch. It's clear as day. He was trying to get a jump before, you know, before they went. He was trying to get a jump on the snap."
The defeat is obviously not the result that the Chiefs were hoping for, and back-to-back defeats will have certainly put a dent in their confidence. However, Andy Reid's team still sit in a great position to push on in the remainder of the season and make a deep run into the playoffs.
Although the Chiefs have been knocked off the top spot in the AFC West, it is worth remembering that they have also played one game less than the Broncos. An interesting week lies ahead for the Chiefs, with the trade deadline coming up shortly after their game at Arrowhead on Sunday.
