CLEMSON — Chad Morris was officially named Clemson football 's offensive coordinator on Jan. 5.
Clemson University's Board of Trustees compensation committee approved Morris' three-year deal worth $3.6 million.
Morris, 57, replaces Garrett Riley, who was fired after three seasons as Clemson's offensive coordinator. This will be Morris' third stint with Clemson and second as the team's offensive coordinator after coaching with the Tigers from 2011 through 2014.
He hasn't called plays since he was the offensive coordinator for Auburn in 2020 and did not coach in 2025, but Swinney selected Morris to lead Clemson's offense in 2026.
