Chicago Bears wide receiver D.J. Moore has been mentioned in trade rumors once the NFL season came to an end. Those trade rumors can be officially put to bed.
Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported, "Sources: The #Bears are trading veteran WR DJ Moore to the #Bills , landing Josh Allen another weapon. It's a mid-round pick compensation going back." This is a huge move for the Buffalo Bills. They finally get quarterback Josh Allen a true number one wide receiver.
As for Chicago, they have plans to fix the trenches this offseason. The Bears unloaded his contract. He still has four years remaining on his contract and it is worth $110 million. Last season with Chicago, he caught 50 passes for 682 yards receiving and six touchdowns, along with averaging 13.6 yards per reception. Moore is 28 years old.

Albert Breer , an NFL insider revealed on his Twitter the real reason why Chicago decided to trade away Moore to the Bills . He said , "Meanwhile, the Bears have cleared a bunch of cap room this week, with Drew Dalman retiring and DJ Moore traded. We'd mentioned earlier that they've shown some interest in Tyler Linderbaum and Maxx Crosby . Stay tuned."
It is not a surprise that Chicago wants to fix the trenches. They need to get help on the defensive line. Trading for Maxx Crosby would no doubt help those issues. As for the offensive line, Tyler Linderbaum is one of the best interior offensive line free agents on the market.
If general manager Ryan Poles is able to do all of this in one offseason, then Chicago is in prime shape to repeat as NFC North Champions next season. They will no doubt be a serious Super Bowl contender in the NFC. Even with trading away Moore, they still Luther Burden and Rome Odunze at wide receiver and Cole Kmet and Colston Loveland at tight end.
Quarterback Caleb Williams should be just fine without him. The Bears are far from done making moves here.
