Jawaan Taylor shared a life update far bigger than football this week, announcing that he and his wife recently welcomed a baby girl. Taylor praised her for the strength she showed throughout the experience and made clear that the moment left a lasting mark on him. He called her an incredible wife and said he now gets to see her step into motherhood as well. The post quickly drew attention, and one familiar name stood out in the comments.

Patrick Mahomes , Taylor’s former quarterback in Kansas City, kept it simple but warm. “Congrats man! And Happy birthday!” Mahomes wrote, offering support as Taylor’s growing family marked the occasion.

Taylor starts new chapter on and off the field

The baby news arrived during a major transition in Taylor’s career. After three seasons with the Chiefs, he signed a one-year contract with the Atlanta Falcons on April 10, Yahoo reports. The deal carries a $5 million base value and can rise by another $1 million through incentives.

Atlanta appears set to lean on Taylor at right tackle following Kaleb McGary’s retirement on April 8. That gives the Cocoa High product a fresh opportunity after Kansas City released him in a cap-saving move that cleared $20 million.

Taylor started all 45 games he played for the Chiefs over the past three years, continuing a career that began when the Jacksonville Jaguars drafted him in the second round in 2019. Now, as he prepares for a new season in Atlanta, Taylor also enters an even bigger role at home, fatherhood.
