Christen Miller's emotional draft call with the Saints
The New Orleans Saints called Georgia Bulldogs defensive tackle Christen Miller to tell him they were picking him with the No. 42 selection in the second-round of the 2026 NFL . During the call, Miller made it clear that he was excited and ready to play for the Saints.
"Let's go!" Miller said, who was watching the draft with friends and family. "I've been waiting! Let's go! I'm on there. Let's go! I'm trying to win!"
With the Saints, Miller will be reunited with his Georgia teammate Oscar Delp , who New Orleans drafted in the third-round. Miller's excitement was palpable on the call with the Saints.
"We are picking you with the 42nd pick, man," Saints coach Kellen Moore said."You're a New Orleans Saint. We're fired up for you, man. Can't wait to have you over here."
On the call, Miller seemed more fired up than the Saints, but it would've been hard for New Orleans' front office to be more excited than Miller. Miller's family will have to change their NFL allegiance following his selection.
"(Family) has got to convert," said Miller, who grew up and Georgia and his family is Falcons fans. "They're Dirty Bird fans, but we ain't Dirty Birds no more. We're Saints now. It's up!"
