Clemson may have to make a late adjustment along the offensive line before kicking off its season against No. 11 LSU .
Veteran lineman Collin Sadler is considered questionable for Saturday night's game in Baton Rouge, according to On3. Sadler entered the week as Clemson's projected starter at right tackle after spending much of fall camp working at the position.
His potential absence would create another challenge for an offensive line already going through significant changes. Clemson is replacing four starters from last season, making Sadler's experience especially valuable as the Tigers prepare for one of their biggest games of the year.
The fifth-year senior has been around long enough to play several different roles up front. Sadler has logged 1,291 offensive snaps during his Clemson career, appearing in 28 games and making 15 starts.
Nine of those starts came last season. He opened seven games at left guard and another two at left tackle, giving Clemson someone who has already handled multiple positions at the college level.
Now, the Tigers will have to see whether he is ready to go against LSU .
Clemson was already entering the matchup with plenty of attention on its rebuilt offensive front. Losing a projected starter, even temporarily, would put even more pressure on a group trying to settle in against a ranked opponent.
Sadler's status is now one of the biggest injury situations to watch as Clemson gets closer to kickoff in Baton Rouge.
