Friday's slate is loaded, and with Washington State traveling to Utah State, Washington hosting No. 17 Iowa, and BYU hosting Iowa State in a Big 12 showdown, there's a great lineup of games to add to your betting card.
I've pinpointed three player props for Friday, including picks for Washington State's Caden Pinnick, Washington's Demond Williams Jr., and Iowa State's Jaylen Raynor.
With that said, let's dive into my top three college football player props and NCAAF picks for Week 5 on Friday, Oct. 9.
Caden Pinnick Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+140 · FanDuel)
Demond Williams Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (+205 · FanDuel)
Jaylen Raynor 25+ Rushing Yards (+100 · FanDuel)

Pinnick has found the end zone on the ground in three of his first five games this season. A rushing touchdown against Washington in the opener, another against Duquesne, and a third against Arizona .
He's not just a check-down runner either; he's carrying it 13 games into the season at a healthy 3.9 yards per attempt, with designed QB runs clearly part of Washington State 's offensive plan under new OC Matt Miller, not just scramble production.
The matchup is a clear green light. Utah State 's defense has been one of the worst in the Pac-12 / Mountain West landscape all year. Utah held the Aggies to 58 rushing yards and allowed them only one trip inside the red zone, while Boise State and Troy both moved the ball on them with relative ease.
Over their last several games, Utah State has allowed red-zone touchdowns on the clear majority of opponent trips inside the 20, and Bronco Mendenhall's defense finished dead last in the Mountain West in total yards allowed a year ago, a trend that's carried over as they've moved to the Pac-12 (1-4 on the season, allowing 440+ yards a game historically under this staff).
If WSU's offense is competent enough to score at all against a defense this leaky, Pinnick himself is live for one of the scores given how often he's the first option near the goal line.
Pick: Caden Pinnick Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+140)
The case for the over starts with volume, and volume hasn't been Washington 's problem. Williams is throwing the ball 28-41 times a game, and across his last two Big Ten outings he's completed better than 57% of his passes each time against real competition.
The attempts are there; this number just needs the offense to convert a couple of those drives into scores instead of field goals, and Williams has already shown he can clear it against this level of defense, going 2 TD against Minnesota , the one previous matchup that mirrors tonight's level of competition.
The game script works in this bet's favor, too. Iowa is 5-0 and could very well be leading at Husky Stadium, which is exactly the kind of spot that pushes Washington into more of a pass-heavy, catch-up script in the second half — more empty-set snaps, more red-zone passing attempts, more opportunities for this number to hit even if the ground game stays bottled up.
Washington's deep weapons have also shown they can produce in flashes regardless of opponent. Williams already has a 75-yard completion on the season and has topped 230 air yards in four of five starts, so the big-play equity to turn one possession into a quick strike is in his range.
The price reflects a tough draw, not a bad bet. Iowa's defense is good, top-15 nationally in scoring and pass defense, with Deshaun Lee locking down one side of the field, and the market has priced that in with a plus-money number here rather than pricing Williams as a lock.
Dedmond Williams Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (+205)
Raynor's season rushing floor supports this well on paper. 152 net rushing yards on 42 carries across 5 games, a 30.4-yard-per-game average, and 3 rushing touchdowns — he's a real factor in Iowa State 's ground attack, not just a scrambler. He's also shown some big-spike games, including a 60-yard rushing performance against Iowa.
The swing factor is recency and matchup difficulty. In his last two games, he managed just 15 yards (11 carries) against West Virginia and 27 yards (10 carries) against Utah, both below or barely clearing this number.
In a high-scoring West Virginia shootout, backup RB Aiden Flora, not Raynor, carried the bulk of the rushing workload and even threw two touchdown passes, which cut into Raynor's own rushing usage.
BYU presents the toughest run-defense matchup Iowa State has faced all season: the Cougars rank inside the top 10-20 nationally in run defense, allowing just 73-75 rushing yards per game as a team entering this matchup, and they're 4-0 off the back of that identity.
That said, 25 yards is a low bar relative to his season average, and even a defense this stingy against the run as a whole has shown some give to a mobile quarterback specifically. BYU's defense is built more to contain backs between the tackles than to spy a dual-threat QB extending plays.
If Iowa State's offensive line can create even modest room, Raynor's season-long rate comfortably clears this number; the risk is a complete defensive game plan built specifically around containing him, similar to what we saw from West Virginia.
Pick: Jaylen Raynor 25+ Rushing Yards (+100)
