Eli Pancol's tenure with the Colts
Eli Pancol went undrafted in 2025 and originally signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars . He was released during roster cutdowns in late August and eventually caught on with the Colts' practice squad in November.

What to know about Eli Pancol
Pancol played five seasons at Duke and spent six seasons there. Between the 2021 and 2022 seasons, Pancol had 71 combined targets during that span, but unfortunately, he missed the 2023 season due to a lower body injury.
Upon his return in 2024, Pancol was a massive part of the Duke offense. Lining up mostly on the boundary, Pancol caught 67% of his 89 targets for 800 yards (13.3 YPC) and nine touchdowns. The bulk of his targets came within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage, according to PFF , where he was very effective at picking up YAC. Also of note, Pancol has steadily graded out as a solid run blocker by PFF's metrics.
Looking ahead to 2026 for Eli Pancol
Pancol is at a crowded wide receiver position group for the Colts, making the practice squad his most likely landing spot -- although there will be competition for those spots as well, with Indianapolis signing UDFAs EJ Horton, Sahmir Hagans, and Raylen Sharpe this offseason. Coleman Owen is back for Year 2 as well.

Leading the way at wideout will be Alec Pierce and Josh Downs , while Nick Westbrook-Ikhine , Ashton Dulin , Deion Burks , and Laquon Treadwell compete for the WR3 role. Also on the roster is Anthony Gould , who was the primary return man last season. That already is seven players, and typically, teams roster just five or six wideouts.
