The Commanders could be looking to the UFL ranks to add receiver depth this offseason.
On Wednesday, the league announced in a release that Washington worked out Birmingham Stallions receiver Justyn Ross . A former star receiver at Clemson in college, Ross caught 22 passes for 327 yards and two touchdowns in his lone UFL season.
Once viewed as a possible early-round draft prospect after impressing in his first two seasons with the Tigers, Ross missed the entire 2020 season due to a congenital neck injury and saw limited production in 2021. He declared for the draft following the season but was not ultimately selected.
Ross signed with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent, spending three seasons with the team (including stints on the practice squad) and winning a pair of Super Bowl rings before he was ultimately released ahead of the 2025 season.
He has appeared in 12 NFL games with one start and has six catches for 53 yards in his career, all of which came in the 2023 season.
