After a disappointing 2025-26 campaign that ended with a 5-12 record, the Washington Commanders hope for more success next season. One way to get back to their winning ways is for Jayden Daniels to get healthy and play at the top of his game. On Saturday, general manager Adam Peters opened up about Daniels’ offseason, praising Daniels for his work ethic.
During a guest appearance on “The Insiders” on the NFL Network, Peters claimed that the 25-year-old quarterback is having a strong offseason so far . The third-year GM stated that Daniels appears healthy and is making strides in his development ahead of his third NFL season.
“He’s already jump-started it, he’s had an incredible offseason,” said Adam Peters about Jayden Daniels. “He’s really been diligent about working this offseason. He’s been out in L.A. But he’s working with his trainers out there, with his throwing coach, and he’s in great shape. He looks great. He feels great. He’s healthy.”

Daniels dealt with a string of injuries last season. It started with a left knee sprain in Week 2, which was followed by a right hamstring strain in Week 7. He also suffered a dislocated left elbow in Week 9, which he then reaggravated in December 2025. The second-year pro only played seven games, resulting in 1,262 passing yards and 10 total touchdowns (eight passing) while completing 60.6% of his pass attempts.
A healthy Jayden Daniels will go a long way for the Commanders . So, moving forward, that is likely the top priority in Washington. The franchise will have a chance to bounce back next year with Daniels continuing his development with a plethora of new talent around him.
