The Arizona Cardinals have signed five of their seven 2026 draft choices, and the contract terms are known for all five.
Previously, Cards Wire had the details for running back Jeremiyah Love (first round) and guard Chase Bisontis (second round).
Here are the specifics for fifth-round wide receiver Reggie Virgil (143 overall), sixth-round linebacker Karson Sharar (183) and seventh-round tackle Jayden Williams (217).
All signed four-year contracts with identical base salaries: $885,000 this year, $1.05 million in 2027, $1.165 million in 2028 and $1.28 million in 2029.
Each deal has splits in the first two years if the player ends up on injured reserve: $515,000 this year and $565,000 in 2027. However, if any of the players are on IR for more than 14 games in 2026, the split in 2027 would still be $515,000 because it takes three games on the active roster to earn a credited season.
The four base salaries total $4.38 million. The total value and 2026 salary-cap charge for each player is:
-
Virgil: $4,936,500; signing bonus $556,500; cap $1,024,125
-
Sharar: $4,708,432; signing bonus $328,432; cap $967,108
-
Williams: $4,561,452; signing bonus $181,452; $930,363
Those cap hits do not count immediately because they fall below the current 51-player cutoff of $1,262,500. They will count if they are on the regular-season 53-man roster.
