On Tuesday, the Chicago Cubs blasted a walk-off home run from Michael Conforto to win. On Wednesday, they had another walk-off win, this time in the 1oth inning. The walk-off feat by the Cubs set off an insane record not seen on the Northside since 1943, according to Sarah Langs, Cubs' beat writer.
"Instances of the Cubs winning three consecutive games against the same opponent, all by walk-off:

It was the third straight walk-off win, and also the third straight time they rallied from a deficit against the Reds . All three games had the Reds leading the game in the eighth inning. Yet, all three finished with the Cubs winning in walk-off fashion. It highlighted their resilience and ability to rally from a deficit late in games.
The win improved the Cubs' record to 25-12. Now, they are 3 1/2 games ahead of the St. Louis Cardinals for first place in the NL Central. The loss dropped the Reds to 20-17, and they remain tied for fourth place in the division. The Reds and Cubs will finish their four-game series on Thursday at Wrigley Field with the Northsiders attempting to pull off the sweep against their divisional rivals.
