The third Penn State is off the board as offensive tackle Drew Shelton was taken in the 4th round with the 112th pick by the Dallas Cowboys .

This is actually a bit earlier than I think most expected Shelton to go, but when you get into the Day 3 picks, there’s so much variance in draft boards among teams that the difference between a 4th round pick and a 6th round pick isn’t necessarily all that much. Regardless of all that, Shelton certainly has the talent and ability to be a starter in the NFL. He’s very athletic, played a lot of football at Penn State at a high level, and there’s some definite growth potential here if he can add a bit more bulk/mass to his frame.
