- Dave Roberts Reveals Latest on Injured Dodgers Bullpen Trio
The Los Angeles Dodgers have three pitchers in their bullpen who are nursing injuries, and manager Dave Roberts spoke about all three of them.
Brock Stewart , Brusdar Graterol , and Bobby Miller are all still in different stages of their recovery, and their viability at this point in the preseason is not exactly clear.
Stewart, the big trade deadline addition during the 2025 season, has not played much for the Dodgers since arriving.
He has been rehabilitating from a right shoulder procedure that took him out for the end of the season, playing only four games throughout the fall.
Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts (30) watches the action against the Arizona Diamondbacks in the first inning on Feb. 25, 2026, at Salt River Fields in Scottsdale.
Stewart is still working his way back from the procedure in Spring Training, and, according to Roberts, Stewart has been throwing promising bullpen sessions, leading to confidence he may not be out for too long beyond opening day.
"Just fastballs only. I think his next pen, he's going to introduce some breaking balls, but it was really good," Roberts said.
"Arm speed and hand speed were really good, better than I thought. So came in the following day, which was yesterday, and felt good. No residual soreness."
Brusdar Graterol has not gotten off the mound as the Dodgers ramp him up slowly, though Roberts made it clear that it was not a "setback."
The righty missed the entire 2025 season with a shoulder issue, and he is now set to miss more time on the injured list.
"I wouldn't say progress. I wouldn't say a setback. I just think that, you know, right now from what I've heard, that we don't feel in a position to kind of ramp him up,"
"So he's just playing catch, and I don't think we're going to see him on the mound for a little bit longer again."
Miller has not thrown off the mound during Spring Training either due to an issue with his shoulder and arm, though they are hoping to ramp up in the next few weeks.
"There's some arm, I think it's a little shoulder soreness, kind of haven't figured out when to kind of ramp him up," Roberts said.
"So I don't know that answer right now, but I know that he's kind of slow to participate."
