The Granata confirmed the defender's arrival on Friday.
It's an initial loan deal from Fiorentina, which, according to TMW, is worth €500,000, and it also includes an option to buy for €9.5m.
Fortini was also in talks with Premier League side Hull City, but, as previously reported by several Italian sources , the 20-year-old had decided to join Torino last week.
Fortini's contract with Fiorentina was due to expire in June 2027, pushing La Viola to extend his stay until 2030 before sending him on loan to Torino.

There's more bad news for Hull City, as Tuttosport reports that another Serie A player has rejected the chance to move to the MKM Stadium.
The Turin-based paper claims that Juventus forward David has turned down an approach from the Premier League club as the Canada international aims to remain in Turin.
David, however, doesn't seem to be part of the Old Lady's plans as the Serie A giants hope to sell the Canadian after just one season and replace him with Joshua Zirkzee.
