Didier Deschamps’ 5️⃣ selection dilemmas 👀
Suspense, suspense...
This Thursday at 8 p.m., Didier Deschamps will unveil his list of players selected for the 2026 World Cup, which begins on June 11.
Just a few hours before the highly anticipated moment, here's a look at the five uncertainties surrounding this major announcement!
Chevalier sidelined?
Demoted to third-choice goalkeeper during the last international break in March, will Lucas Chevalier suffer an even bigger disappointment this Thursday?

While he is no longer playing at all for PSG and has been injured for two weeks, the former LOSC goalkeeper could see Robin Risser , Lens' keeper recently voted Ligue 1 Goalkeeper of the Season, snatch his spot for the World Cup!
Lacroix, the surprise?
What if he's the little surprise on the list?
Maxence Lacroix , called up for the first time last March, made a strong impression against Brazil and Colombia.
Enough to push Didier Deschamps to shake up his positional balance and add a central defender to his squad? The answer will come in a few hours...

Camavinga in danger?
Struggling at Real Madrid and a disappointment during the last France camp, Eduardo Camavinga could be the big name left out of Didier Deschamps' squad.

Kolo Muani , Didier's trusted man?
With Hugo Ekitike ruled out, which striker will travel to the United States?

Randal Kolo Muani's presence is far from certain given his very average season at Tottenham.
But the former Frankfurt and PSG striker has always delivered for France, especially in major international tournaments, such as Euro 2024 and the last World Cup in 2022.

Mateta , the reliable soldier?
In the right mindset and scoring every time Didier Deschamps has called him up, Jean-Philippe Mateta could well be preferred to Kolo Muani.
An advantage for the Crystal Palace striker: his profile!
