Fresh off back-to-back wins in a series at Dodger Stadium against the Kansas City Royals , the Los Angeles Dodgers find themselves in a National League Championship Series rematch against the Milwaukee Brewers , who are in town.
But before the Dodgers-Brewers series started on Thursday night, the reigning World Series champions announced a couple of moves on the pitching side.
"The Dodgers added RHP Jonathan Hernández to the roster and optioned RHP Landon Knack ," Los Angeles shared via a social media post on X (formerly Twitter).

Hernandez was designated for assignment by Los Angeles earlier this week, but he's back with the Dodgers after clearing waivers.
The 30-year-old Hernandez has gone back and forth from the minors to the big leagues with the Dodgers, and this marks his third time in the majors since Los Angeles signed him as a free agent in May. Before that, the right-hander Hernandez was with the Philadelphia Phillies , who gave him stints with their Triple-A affiliate, the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.
In 15 appearances this season for the Dodgers, Hernandez has posted a 6.45 ERA with 18 strikeouts across 22.1 innings.
Knack, on the other hand, is headed to the Triple-A Oklahoma City Comets. The right-handed Knack last saw action in the big leagues for the Dodgers on Wednesday, pitching for 2.2 innings and allowing zero earned runs and two hits, while striking out two in a 4-2 Dodgers victory . In three appearances for the Dodgers in the 2026 MLB season, the 29-year-old Knack has surrendered five earned runs on eight hits with six strikeouts, two walks and a save through 7.2 innings of work.
