Eder is 0-1 with a 4.87 ERA in nine career games with the Los Angeles Angels (2024) and Chicago White Sox (2025). In addition to bolstering their left-handed relief depth, Eder has an option year remaining, allowing the Dodgers to send him to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

The Angels must have liked what they saw. They sent cash to the White Sox on March 31, 2025 and gave Eder eight appearances out of their bullpen. He spent most of last year at Triple-A Salt Lake, going 2-7 with a 6.11 ERA in 13 games, all starts.

When the Angels acquired veteran relievers Luis Garcia and Andrew Chafin from the Nationals at last year’s trade deadline, they sent Eder and minor league first baseman/outfielder Sam Brown to Washington.

Eder gets above-average extension from his 6-foot-4 frame, a weapon that allows his 93-mph fastball to play up. According to Statcast, Eder also throws a changeup, sweeper and slider.
