The Dolphins had all their tight ends who played during the 2025 season as free agents, but they’ve brought back their first one in Dulcich, who came along in the second half last year.

Dulcich’s deal to come back is for one year and $3.25 million, according to ESPN .

Dulcich started the season on the practice squad, but he finished on the active roster with 26 receptions on 33 targets for 335 yards and a touchdown — all in the final nine games of the season.

It was a rebound season for Dulcich as his most productive since his rookie year in 2022 as a third-round pick of the Denver Broncos out of UCLA. Between 2023 and 2024, he had just eight catches for 53 yards. He was waived in the middle of 2024 by the Broncos and claimed by the New York Giants , with which he didn’t make a reception in five games.

Starting off on the practice squad with the Dolphins last season, he was behind Darren Waller , Julian Hill and Tanner Conner among tight ends on the depth chart. By season’s end, he was Miami’s most consistent pass-catching target at the position.

Waller and Hill are free agents this offseason. Conner was signed by the Giants to a futures contract.

The Dolphins will have a new quarterback throwing to Dulcich and whoever else the team brings in, agreeing to sign Malik Willis on Monday.

Strange, the 2022 first-round pick by the New England Patriots , made 14 starts for the Dolphins at right guard last season, replacing James Daniels and then Kion Smith . Strange, who was playing on a one-year contract with Miami, has started 43 of his 44 career games with all of his previous starts being for the Patriots.

Strange, whose strength is his athleticism, stabilized a right guard position that was searching for anyone who could make a contribution after Daniels only lasted three plays due to a pectoral injury and Smith floundered during his brief opportunity. Strange will reunite with former Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel, the Chargers’ offensive coordinator.

While NFL free agent negotiations began Monday afternoon, players cannot sign with new teams until the start of the new league year, Wednesday at 4 p.m.
