- Dolphins’ Hafley dishes on various players, offers injury updates on Monday

Quick hits from Jeff Hafley's Monday media session after Sunday's 24-19 loss to New England:
▪ Guard Kadyn Proctor remains in concussion protocol; he's making progress, Hafley said.
Jarrett Kingston, who filled in for Proctor at left guard, "started off slow, picked it up and played well," Hafley said. "He was physical. I thought he finished well and played well for his first start. I was proud of him. I know we'll be able to count on him."
▪ On how Malik Willis played: "Some good. Some drives came out well. He made some big throws. Threw [the two] touchdown passes, third down conversion.
"Like any other game, there's room for improvement. Whether it's throwing the ball or decision making, always some good and always some room for improvement."
▪ The Dolphins remain without cornerback Darrell Baker (who is on the physically unable to perform list) and linebackers Trey Moore and Ronnie Harrison, who remain on injured reserve.
Hafley said Baker "has the best chance of the three" to return to practice this week.
Moore was listed as a starter before his August injury.
"Do I think Tre Moore is going to get back this week or next? I don't," Hafley said. "Still hopeful we will get him for some part of the season."
▪ Hafley and Ollie Gordon have had four conversations since his costly unsportsmanlike conduct penalty in the third quarter turned a 3rd and 5 into a 3rd and 20. They spoke on the sideline after the play, spoke after the game, texted on Sunday night and spoke in Hafley's office on Monday.
Hafley doesn't want Gordon's penalty (his second such penalty in a game since early August) to allow "people to create a narrative of who you are that might not be true."
Hafley made clear that "presnap and post snap penalties are not OK with me. I'm not going to sweep it under the rug."
▪ On Chris Johnson somehow missing what should have been an easy sack: "I thought he responded well. You have got to have a short memory. We can coach him on how to finish in those positions.
"He's more than capable of making those plays. It's a one time play. He will make the next one. You've just got to move on. I love the guy. He's going to be a really good player."
▪ He liked how rookie receivers Caleb Douglas, Chris Bell and Kevin Coleman Jr. played Sunday:
"They played well and competed against a really good defense and one of the best corners in the NFL [Christian Gonzalez]. They got open. Malik Washington did a nice job as well."
▪ On Kyle Louis, who played 11 defensive snaps: "Kyle played well. He got better as the game went. We played him like an outside linebacker yesterday. You can call him a nickel. You can call him as an outside linebacker.
"He was physical, did a really good job in coverage, tackled well. He will continue to play if he continues to do that."
Hafley said Louis earned playing time by practicing well last week.
▪ Have the Dolphins decided if they will retain kicker Zayne Gonzalez, who missed a 43-yard field goal and got a fortuitous bounce off the upright on a 52-yard field goal.
"As of right now, we'll stick with Zayne," Gonzalez said.
▪ On Jaylen Wright, who's thriving as a returner but is averaging just 1.9 as a runner: "He was a bright spot in the return game. He's become a pretty reliable guy back there. The return game was better yesterday and that's important."
▪ On new edge player Jamree Kromah: "Physical, plays the run well, good size. We will get him going this week. He might have an opportunity to play this week."
