The Miami Dolphins will be losing one rookie running back before he ever has the opportunity to make an impact on the field for the franchise.
The Dolphins signed Texas A&M running back Le'Veon Moss as an undrafted free agent after last month's NFL Draft, but it turns out that he won't be sticking around the franchise for long. On Tuesday, it was announced that the Dolphins have placed Moss on the reserve/retired list , with the organization retaining his rights if he decides to return to professional football.
Moss was a highly-touted star at Texas A&M, where he earned All-SEC honors for the Aggies. Over his four seasons with the program, he tallied 1,767 yards and 22 touchdowns. He also averaged an impressive 3.66 yards after contact.
But Moss also struggled significantly with injuries at the collegiate level. Moss saw his junior season end early due to a knee injury, and he only played seven games as a senior after his campaign was interrupted by an ankle injury. In his return in the College Football Playoffs against Miami (FL), he re-aggravated that injury. He also reportedly suffered from bouts of anxiety during games, repeatedly vomiting on the sidelines due to the issue.
