The Miami Dolphins have purged several players from their roster this weekend, but they've mostly stayed away from their group of edge rushers so far.
However, on Sunday afternoon, Miami reportedly released linebacker Cameron Goode , according to the Miami Herald's Barry Jackson.
Goode, 28, played at California from 2016-21 before the Dolphins took him in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL draft. After spending some time on the practice squad, he eventually made his way onto the roster over the last three years, recording 22 tackles and a pass defensed in 37 games.
While he's mostly been a special teamer in his career, Miami has a new regime and should be looking for more from their edge linebackers. It's unfortunate that even in a weak room, Goode couldn't make the cut.
