The Miami Dolphins waived tight end Jalin Conyers and offensive lineman Braeden Daniels, while signing running back Carlos Washington Jr. and offensive tackle Marques Cox on Thursday.
Cutting Conyers comes as a surprise, as he was thought to be a player capable of competing for a roster spot at tight end for Miami in 2026.

He was signed as an undrafted rookie out of Texas Tech in 2025, and he stood out during offseason workouts and early in training camp last year before a foot injury cost him the season on injured reserve.
At Tuesday's organized team activities session open to the media, the 6-foot-4, 265-pound pass-catcher appeared to be picking up where he left off, making at least a couple of receptions, including one about 25 yards down the field.
At tight end, the Dolphins have Greg Dulcich as a top option after emerging late last season. They signed blocking tight end Ben Sims in free agency, drafted fierce blocker Will Kacmarek out of Ohio State in the third round and then selected Mississippi State's Seydou Traore, who hails from London , in the sixth round.
Washington became available when he was cut by the Falcons 10 days ago. A product of Southeastern Louisiana and New Hampshire in college, he has appeared in two games in two seasons with Atlanta after entering the NFL undrafted in 2023, largely spending time on the practice squad.

Washington gives Miami another running back after undrafted signee Le'Veon Moss, out of Texas A&M, abruptly retired recently.
Cox comes to the Dolphins after spending time with the Denver Broncos and Arizona Cardinals' practice squads last year as an undrafted rookie. Primarily a left tackle in college, he was at Kentucky from 2023-24 after five seasons at Northern Illinois (2018-22).
Daniels was a practice squad player for Miami in 2025.
