Dominic Zvada has gone from undrafted free agent to one of the most important members of the Giants offense.
Zvada continued his impressive run Sunday, going 4-for-4 on field goals and accounting for all of the Giants' points in their 12-7 win over the Tennessee Titans .
Zvada knocked in field goals of 39, 27, 39 and 30 yards amid soggy conditions at MetLife Stadium, lifting the Giants to 2-1 for the first time since 2022.
Dominic Zvada Made Four Field Goals on Sunday
Kickers often get the brunt of their teammates' ribbing, but they also get the love when the kicks go through.
Zvada has already earned the adulation of his teammates, first by winning a kicking competition over veteran Jason Sanders and incumbent Ben Sauls , then by making his first 10 kicks in the NFL.
"He has been through the ringer in training camp," Giants running back Cam Skattebo said "Me and (outside linebacker) Abdul (Carter) give him a headache when he is kicking field goals at practice, so shout-out to him. He has a level head and able to stay focused and he knows what he is doing with his leg."
MetLife Stadium is renowned for its swirling winds, and the kickers faced 20- to 30-mph winds and driving rain. It didn't affect Zvada, who learned a thing or two about kicking in inclement weather while earning All-America status in 2024 at the University of Michigan.
"It was just another opportunity to go out there and just do what I do," Zvada said. "Credit to the O-line. They did a great job. Credit to [long snapper] Ben [Mann] and [punter] Jordan [Stout]. Did great, didn't have to worry about any of that sort of stuff. Operation was great. So, yeah, all I had to do is go out there and do my job. That's what we're able to do."
Dominic Zvada, Jordan Stout Got Game Balls From John Harbaugh
The Giants' defense dominated Cam Ward and the Titans offense. But their special teams also stole hidden yards and caused one of their two turnovers.
Between that and Zvada's four made field goals, the special teamers earned game balls from head coach John Harbaugh.
"Jordan Stout got it, and then he gave [the game ball] to me. So, I appreciate that from Jordan," Zvada said. "He had an excellent game too. He kicked the crap out of the ball, but he wanted to give it to me, so I really appreciate that."
To Zvada's point, Stout was a weapon again, flipping the field on his six punts. He had a 74-yard punt — his second straight week with a 70-plus-yard punt — and averaged 50.5 yards per punt with three inside the 20-yard line.
