The Bayou Barbie returned to her old stomping grounds on Thursday, as Atlanta Dream star Angel Reese showed up at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge to watch the No. 9 LSU women's basketball team play the visiting Texas Southern Tigers.
Reese was also welcomed by LSU head coach Kim Mulkey , who posed for photos with the WNBA star.
"Yes, I'm so happy to be back," Reese said during an interview in her return to LSU (via espnW). "It's been a while, but it's always good to be back in the PMAC."

Reese was also asked about falling just a win short of winning the WNBA title.
"Yes, almost. Reese replied. "One game short, but everything happens for a reason. Really happy about the season, being in Atlanta has just been a dream come true for me."
Reese played only two seasons for LSU, but she clearly made a mark on the program in the short time she stayed in Baton Rouge.
After all, she led the Tigers to a national championship win in 2023, when the Tigers defeated Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes in the national title game.
Reese started her college career with the Maryland Terrapins before transferring to LSU.
As for the game, the Tigers showed no mercy at all at Texas, as LSU came away with a 131-22 shellacking of the visitors.
The Dream nearly won a WNBA title in Reese's first season with the team, as they lost Game 7 of the 2026 WNBA Finals to Natalie Nakase's Golden State Valkyries.
Nevertheless, Reese has clearly made Atlanta a team to watch.
