The Pittsburgh Steelers extended their winning streak to four games with a 27-6 win over the Cleveland Browns. However, wide receiver DK Metcalf's disappointing performance became a major talking point after the game. Despite Pittsburgh's victory, FOX Sports analyst Colin Cowherd believes Metcalf has become a liability for Aaron Rodgers and wants the Steelers to move on from him.
"I have a rule in life, don't make decisions to validate previous choices. Omar Khan needs to cut bait with DK Metcalf. The cap hit triples next year. He's washed. It's over. He can't play. And he's driving Aaron Rodgers nuts. Now he's getting in the way, can't catch it," Cowherd said on Monday's episode of "The Herd."
The analyst also took aim at Khan's decision to acquire Metcalf from Seattle, claiming the Seahawks got the better end of the deal.
"You [Khan] got worked by John Schneider, the Seattle GM, bro. You got worked. Don't make decisions to validate choices," he said.
Pittsburgh sent Seattle a second-round pick before signing Metcalf to a four-year
, $132 million extension.

DK Metcalf's Struggles Draw More Criticism From Former Steelers Star
Cowherd wasn't the only prominent voice questioning Metcalf after Sunday's performance. Former Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown also mocked the receiver's repeated drops in a video shared on X.
"His hands don't work," Brown said
while highlighting Metcalf's inability to secure passes.
Brown also joked that if he had dropped passes at the same rate, people would have called the police.
The criticism comes amid a disappointing season for Metcalf. Through eight games, he has recorded 33 receptions for 378 yards
and one touchdown. His production has fallen short of expectations after finishing the 2025 season with 59 catches for 850 yards and six touchdowns.

Despite the criticism, Rodgers has dismissed concerns about his chemistry with Metcalf, insisting the two would eventually get on the same page.
"I'm not worried about it. We're going to get it sorted out. We've been on the same page since I came back. I'll talk with DK like I always do, and we'll be fine," Rodgers said in Week 2.
Pittsburgh enters its Week 9 bye at 6-2 and atop the AFC North. The defense and running game have helped the team remain competitive, but Metcalf's struggles have raised questions about the passing attack.
With the Steelers enjoying a strong start, the franchise must decide whether continuing with Metcalf is worth the financial commitment or not.
