- Duke's Isaiah Evans and Maliq Brown choose new NBA jersey numbers
Following the 2026 NBA Draft, Cameron Boozer wasn't the only former Blue Devil to select a new jersey number . After Boozer selected No. 27, his old teammates and second-round picks Isaiah Evans and Maliq Brown made their picks the next day.
Joining the Minnesota Timberwolves , Evans (drafted No. 33 overall) will wear No. 33 after wearing No. 3 at Duke. As for Brown , he chose to wear No. 15 for the San Antonio Spurs after donning six for the Blue Devils .

With Donte DiVincenzo sidelined for Minnesota, Evans will have a chance to play a 3-point specialist role off the bench. Unfortunately for Brown, earning a spot in San Antonio 's rotation will prove difficult as the Spurs just fell short in the NBA Finals. To complicate matters further, Brown was the final of four San Antonio draft picks in 2026, giving him a large hill to climb.
