The Eagles are currently experiencing a challenging offseason marked by media scrutiny and a strong defense from their front office. General Manager Howie Roseman recently addressed what he described as an "unfair hit job" by ESPN.

During a press conference, Roseman expressed his frustration with the narrative surrounding star quarterback Jalen Hurts , emphasizing that the organization values direct communication with players instead of leaking stories to the press. He called the recent coverage "unfortunate" and suggested that sensationalism is being prioritized over the reality of the team's internal dynamics.
This defense of Hurts is not limited to the front office. Former Eagles safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson took to social media to respond to retired Buccaneers linebacker Lavonte David.
During a podcast appearance, David claimed that opposing defenses were never truly "worried" about Hurts, citing the team's ongoing coaching turnover as a significant issue. With the recent hiring of Sean Mannion, marking the sixth offensive coordinator to work with Hurts in as many years, the pressure on the quarterback to adapt has only increased.
Amidst this external noise, Hurts is concentrating on his craft through intentional, focused preparation, as noticed by Chase Senior on X.
He has been training at Temple University in North Philadelphia, where he was seen refining his mechanics during a crucial period of the offseason.

Instead of working alone, Hurts is collaborating with a familiar figure, former Eagles quarterbacks coach Scot Loeffler, and renowned quarterback developer Quincy Avery, and this partnership indicates a commitment to improving technical consistency and decision-making before training camp begins.
By returning to his roots in North Philly and working with trusted mentors, Hurts is making a clear statement: while the media and rivals debate his standing, his focus remains on the hard work necessary to lead a revamped offense in 2026.
