The Philadelphia Eagles are looking for different ways to get the offense going, especially after a dud against the Chicago Bears last week.
One way could be to look at the trade market , with Philadelphia consistently being an aggressively minded organization. As the Eagles search for different ways to improve the roster, one name that could make some sense is veteran tight end Luke Schoonmaker of the Dallas Cowboys.

While a trade between Dallas and Philadelphia could be tough due to the rivalry, if the offer is good enough, it could happen.
Schoonmaker was mentioned as a possible name for the Eagles by NFL analyst Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report . Knox took a look at players who could use a change of scenery in the NFL, with the tight end mentioned.
The former Michigan product hasn't lived up to the hype that he entered the NFL with, and this could see Dallas look to move on. The Cowboys took Schoonmaker in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft, hoping to have him break out with the team.
With the Cowboys, Schoonmaker has played in all 17 games each season that he has been in the league. His availability has been good to see, but his limited impact on games has left Dallas feeling a certain way about him, especially with him being a high draft pick.

Overall, in his multi-year career so far, Schoonmaker has only recorded 51 catches for 459 yards and three touchdowns. Schoonmaker is firmly behind Jake Ferguson on the depth chart in Dallas, and the team has been rumored to see what they can get.
Going to a different situation may be able to have Schoonmaker finally reach his ceiling in the NFL. The Eagles could use a player like him, especially with tight end Dallas Goedert dealing with an ongoing knee injury.
If anything, Schoonmaker could offer the Eagles more depth to work with as the year goes on. The veteran is in the final year of his rookie contract, so the Eagles wouldn't be taking on any long-term money.
The team could see how he performs the rest of the season before making any type of decision on him in the future.

Overall, this could be a low-risk move that Philadelphia could try, hoping to spark the offensive attack . Schoonmaker could see if the Eagles can help his career get going, and if so, Philadelphia may get a steal in the former second-round pick.
