The Philadelphia Eagles are taking on the Jacksonville Jaguars for the first game of Week 5 in London. Quinyon Mitchell is having a solid outing in this one, as he picked off Trevor Lawrence late in the third quarter. It just so happens that the interception led to a first in his career.
It's said that the 25-year-old cornerback recorded his first-ever regular-season interception after picking off Lawrence, according to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team. All of Mitchell's prior interceptions have come in the playoffs.
"Eagles CB Quinyon Mitchell has his first career NFL regular-season INT," Meirov said on X. "A big monkey off his back. Mitchell has 4 career INTs in the playoffs."

Just a crazy stat considering how good the former first-round pick has been for the Eagles . It took him 37 regular-season games to finally secure his first interception that wasn't in the postseason. However, he did enter Sunday's matchup with 31 career pass deflections. So, it's not like he hasn't had opportunities to get his hands on the ball. Either way, congrats to Mitchell for ending his interception-less streak.
The ex-Toledo Rocket has been incredibly consistent since entering the NFL in 2024. Through 37 career games, Mitchell has recorded 115 combined tackles, one interception, 31 pass deflections, and one fumble recovery (these stats are subject to change pending results of Week 5 vs. the Jaguars).
With an interception under his belt now, Quinyon Mitchell will aim to continue building his impressive career. The Eagles are scheduled to take on the Carolina Panthers in Week 6 in Philadelphia.
