The Philadelphia Eagles have once again invested heavily in an undrafted defensive lineman. According to Ryan Fowler of NBC Sports Philadelphia , the Eagles signed former East Carolina defensive tackle Zion Wilson to an undrafted free-agent contract that includes a $25,000 signing bonus and $225,000 in guaranteed money, a notable commitment for a player who went unselected during the 2026 NFL Draft.
Wilson arrives in Philadelphia after a breakout season with the Pirates in which he earned first-team All-American Athletic Conference honors. The 6-foot-3, 315-pound defensive tackle recorded 42 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and seven sacks, showcasing the disruptive interior presence that has become a hallmark of the Eagles' defensive philosophy.
The signing continues a long-standing trend under executive vice president and general manager Howie Roseman. While Philadelphia annually invests premium draft capital in the trenches, the organization has also developed a reputation for aggressively targeting undrafted prospects it believes can compete for roster spots.
