Emmanuel Acho reveals why Rams' Myles Garrett trade is 'unfair' appeared first on ClutchPoints . Add ClutchPoints as a Preferred Source by clicking here .
Many are still probably in disbelief after the Los Angeles Rams landed Myles Garrett in a trade with the Cleveland Browns . The Rams became more of a threat, possibly even a title favorite, with the acquisition of the All-Pro defensive end.
The Rams gave up Jared Verse , a first-round pick in 2027, a second-round pick in 2028, and a third-round pick in 2029 to get Garrett, who won his second Defensive Player of the Year trophy last season.
NFL analyst Emmanuel Acho noted that the rich got richer in the Rams' addition of the 30-year-old Garrett. He will join Matthew Stafford , the reigning MVP, Davante Adams , and Puka Nacua in the City of Angels.
"What the Rams are building is quite literally unfair. You have one of the best pass rushers, if not the best pass rusher, in all of football. You got a top-five quarterback right now. You have two top-10, top-12 wide receivers, including a top-five wide receiver. Then you have Trent McDuffie , who has proven to be an All-Pro cornerback," said Acho on "Speakeasy."
"At the premium positions of football, you have premium players."
Acho stressed that the Rams "absolutely won" the trade with the Browns, who lost arguably their best player.
"You might be saying to yourself, 'Well, yes, they got an older Myles Garrett .' I would still suggest Myles Garrett would probably have a bigger impact on the game of football over the next five years than Jared Verse, who is a rising star," added Acho, who had a brief stint in the NFL.
"Myles Garrett is a generational talent, probably going to retire as a top-three defensive end in the history of the game of football. It's unfair what the Rams are building here in California."
Los Angeles' defense will surely level up with Garrett in the fold. The team only gave up an average of 20.4 points last season, good for 11th-best in the league.
The Rams had a 12-5 record last season, losing to the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship Game.
