- England lineup today vs. Mexico: Starting XI for World Cup
England faces Mexico at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City on Sunday, July 5, a monumental clash in the World Cup's round of 16.
England needed two late goals to defeat DR Congo in its first knockout stage game, getting them from all-time leading scorer Harry Kane to send the Three Lions into the last 16. Up against the Azteca's extreme elevation , England boss Thomas Tuchel has some tough lineup decisions to make.

"The players felt it in the first minutes of the training session and the longer it went, they could cope with it better," Tuchel. "It's just what it is."
England is short-handed at right back due to injury and Tuchel ended up deploying Declan Rice out of position at the end of the round of 16 game. Jarell Quansah, who missed the DR Congo game with an ankle injury, is back to start at Mexico.
